White Willow Bark Herbal Tincture

Net weight: 2 fl oz amber glass dropper bottle

INGREDIENTS: Dried white willow bark and vodka. All herbs are sourced 100% organic.

DIRECTIONS: Shake well before use. Dosage is based on bio individual desires and results. Typically, about 1-3 dropper bulbs full. Drop desired amount into a 2 oz cup of water or juice and before consuming. Take 1-5 times daily to easy symptoms of generalized pain, inflammation, and fever. Willow bark takes about 8 hours (sometimes less) to kick in, so when taking as a general inflammation or pain reliever take it in advance and stay on top of dosages.

STORAGE: When stored properly, alcohol-based tinctures have an infinite shelf life. Store in a dark location (like a kitchen cupboard) and keep the lid screwed on tight to prevent evaporation. You may also store it in the refrigerator if desired, but refrigeration is not required.

WARNING: Do not take if allergic to aspirin or if taking other blood thinner medications. As with most herbal tinctures, there are contraindications for use. Consult with your doctor or preferred medical professional before use. Use caution while pregnant and breastfeeding.

  • Are you looking for a daily regimen to support you with inflammation, pain and/or overall metabolic health? Would you prefer to use a natural alternative to your daily aspirin regime? If you answered yes to one or both questions, then our white willow bark tincture is for you! Read more below about this incredible herb and how it can support your body by reducing inflammation, relieving pain, and improving your metabolic health.

White Willow Bark (Salix alba, Salix lucida, and other species)—Analgesic (anodyne), anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, and febrifuge properties. This tincture can be taken orally to ease symptoms such as migraine, headache, muscle strains and cramps, fever, inflammation, and generalized pain.

The active compound contained in white willow bark is salicin, which is the original source of the synthetic derivative of aspirin. Salicin is metabolized into salicylic acid, the primary ingredient in modern aspirin (chemical ingredient acetylsalicylic acid). White willow bark is known as "nature's aspirin," but it is imperative to note that commercial aspirin products have a much higher concentration of salicin (that is found in the chemical ingredient in their product), than the natural form of white willow bark. However, the natural form is much more powerful.

The effects of white willow bark can take much longer to be felt than that of aspirin, typically taking up to 8 hours to kick in. However, it is much less likely to cause gastrointestinal issues like synthetic aspirin can and is also free of all the chemical additives and colorings. Much like a daily aspirin regimen, many people consume a white willow bark tincture daily to reduce inflammation and support their metabolic health.
